A Welcome From the CEO

Community Schools Alliance Trust (CSAT) is an Academy Trust comprising of two schools, Cheney School secondary school and Bayards Hill primary school. Cheney School became an Academy in January 2013 after a thorough consultation with our school community and we were approved by the Department for Education in October 2014 to become the sponsor for Bayards Hill Primary School.

Our aim is for every young child and young person to benefit from a world class education and one which inspires our school communities to achieve more than they thought possible. Our commitment to these principles is evident through our working practices, which focus on making the difference to the life chances of our pupils and students. Academy staff and students work together and learn together, and by doing so our practice is continually improving and bringing about the changes required to deliver on our ambitious aims.

We work with Bayards Hill to help accelerate pupil progress so that they have every opportunity to progress when they join secondary school. This will not impact our admission arrangements and we will continue to work in close partnership with all our feeder primary schools.

We have recently been named as the sponsor for the new school to be built in the Barton Park development in Oxford, which we are extremely pleased about and it will continue the close relationship we have built up with the community within Barton.

If you have any queries about CSAT do not hesitate to contact me, I would be delighted to answer your questions.

Ms  Jolie Kirby, CEO of CSAT

A Welcome from the chair of trustees

All members of the CSAT community  - Bayards Hill and Cheney staff, governors and trustees  - are focused on delivering the CSAT Vision: Improving Every Learner's Life Chances. Our mission is to make sure every single student is given the skills, knowledge and experiences to progress through education, achieve their potential and to open up as many opportunities to them as possible during their time in the Trust and beyond. We also aim to provide all members of the community (adults and children) the opportunities to develop and learn, at work, school and beyond, to enrich life experiences and play a part in developing rounded young people and skilled, confident staff.

With all best wishes
